Our House System and Rewards

At Castlemorton CE Primary School, our House System is a valued part of school life. It builds community, encourages teamwork, and celebrates the values that lie at the heart of everything we do – compassion, courage, respect, justice and perseverance.

Every child from Reception to Year 6 belongs to one of our four Houses:

Each House provides a sense of belonging, pride and friendly competition. Throughout the year, children work together to earn points for their House through positive behaviour, learning attitudes, sporting achievements and acts of kindness that reflect our school values.

House points can be awarded by any adult in school to recognise effort, improvement, helpfulness and achievements both in and out of the classroom. Each child’s individual points are also recorded, ensuring that personal progress and individual contributions are celebrated alongside team success.

House points are collected weekly and added to the running totals. The winning House is announced in our Celebration Worship, and at the end of each term the House with the highest total enjoys a special reward to celebrate their teamwork and perseverance.

Our House System helps children to:

      • Develop teamwork and leadership skills

      • Build friendships across year groups

      • Take pride in their own and others’ achievements

      • Recognise and celebrate success in a positive, inclusive way

The system fosters a strong sense of belonging and motivates every child to be the best they can be – for themselves, their House, and our whole school community.
