Our School

Castlemorton CE Primary School is a small, welcoming rural school situated seven miles from Malvern and surrounded by the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. We welcome children from the age of two years nine months into our Pre-School, where they begin building the secure foundations they need to thrive throughout their primary years. From Reception to Year 6, we currently have 82 pupils, and we are proud to serve families both within and beyond our catchment area who choose Castlemorton for its nurturing ethos and strong community spirit.
To support busy families, we offer high-quality wraparound care from 7:45am to 6:00pm every school day, providing a safe, engaging and friendly environment before and after school.
We are a school with high educational standards and long-established traditions, where children learn in a happy, safe and caring environment. Our open, friendly ethos places us at the heart of the local community, close to St Gregory’s Church. Children enjoy coming to school, are enthusiastic about their learning and benefit from warm, positive relationships with staff.
From Year 1 to Year 6, our mixed-age class structure enables pupils to learn collaboratively, support one another and progress at a pace that is right for them. All children belong to one of four school Houses, fostering teamwork, responsibility and a strong sense of belonging across the school.
Our location is one of our greatest assets, and we take every opportunity to use our stunning natural surroundings to inspire learning. Whether exploring local wildlife, engaging in outdoor learning, or using the landscape to enrich curriculum experiences, our countryside environment is central to school life.
We offer an ambitious, inclusive and richly varied curriculum designed to help every child flourish academically, socially and creatively. Music plays a special role at Castlemorton: every child in the school takes part in instrumental lessons, and we celebrate music as an important way for children to express themselves and develop confidence.
Our dedicated staff team bring a wide range of strengths across the curriculum, and our support staff work closely alongside teachers to ensure all children receive the guidance and encouragement they need. Our committed governing body continues to support and challenge the school as we strive for ongoing improvement.
Beyond the classroom, children enjoy a vibrant programme of extra-curricular opportunities. We offer a range of sports clubs, computing and science activities, chess club, musical ensembles and more—providing children with the chance to explore interests, develop talents and discover new passions.
