Green Class Create Mini Ponds with Castlemorton Environmental Group
This week, Green Class rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into a brilliant eco-project with the Castlemorton Environmental Group — creating their very own mini portable ponds!
The children worked hard to carefully build and plant their very own small, moveable ponds designed to support local wildlife. Using recycled containers, stones, plants and pond water, they learned about the importance of providing habitats for frogs, insects and other pond-loving creatures.
This hands-on project sparked curiosity and conversation about biodiversity, conservation and how even small actions can make a big difference. The children took their ponds home and are excited to monitor what wildlife comes to visit.
We are so grateful to the Castlemorton Environmental Group for their time, expertise and encouragement. What a fantastic way to learn about nature, sustainability and community action!
