World Book Day

World Book Day at Castlemorton CE Primary School

On Thursday 6th March, pupils and staff enjoyed celebrating World Book Day, a special day dedicated to promoting a love of reading.

Children came to school either in their pyjamas or dressed as a wide variety of book characters, with costumes inspired by favourite stories and authors. It was wonderful to see the creativity on display and to hear everyone talking enthusiastically about the books that inspired their outfits.

Throughout the day, classes took part in a range of activities. Pupils shared favourite books, listened to stories read aloud and explored new texts together. Older pupils also enjoyed reading with younger children, helping to build confidence and enthusiasm for books across the school.

Events like World Book Day are a great opportunity to celebrate storytelling and encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading.

Thank you to parents and carers for supporting the day and helping to make it such an enjoyable celebration of books.
