Our Caterpillars Pre-school meet in the school hall every day between 8:45 and 11:45. Laura and Judy offer a friendly and caring learning environment for pre-school aged children.
There is a family atmosphere with a range of daily activities appropriate for young inquisitive minds. Amongst the favourites are forest school, music and movement and cookery.
Our aim with pre-school is to allow children to move seamlessly into education. We appreciate that this important stage in a child’s life can also be a time when parents need support. We know that when it comes to educating children one size doesn’t fit all; therefore we offer flexible choice that caters for individual needs. Parents are welcome to stay with their children during the sessions and together with the staff can decide the best way forward.
The personal, social and emotional aspects of learning are so important and the staff at Caterpillars are gentle and sensitive. Children’s opinions are valued and their wishes respected.
The governors of the school are also responsible for the pre-school setting, and Sue Peasgood is the designated governor.
